Zhuoyi (Zoe) is a graduate student in the Biochemistry, Biophysics and Chemical Biology (BBCB) group. She received her B.S. in biotechnology in 2021 from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in Shanghai, China. Zoe then received her Master's in Biotechnology from Penn in 2023 where she engineered potentiated Hsp104 variants in the Shorter lab. Her research interest lies in protein-misfolding-related neurodegenerative diseases and their molecular etiology. In her free time, Zoe enjoys working out and playing basketball. She also likes to explore good restaurants everywhere she goes.
